Movie Review: The Lone Ranger

by Cindy

“The movie The Lone Ranger is about a ranger from Texas that fights bad with Tonto, a Native American. Tonto was very funny. He did silly things. At first the ranger was not that brave. He always fought with honor and never with a gun. I think this movie was very nice and had lots of comedy.

Many people thought that the lone ranger was a great movie and went to see it up to 3 times. The critics thought differently about the movie. Boston Globe Ty Burr review was 38.  These were his exact words: “The greater embarrassment is that so many millions of dollars have been wasted on an entertainment that feels so smug, so pointless, and so thunderously empty “. Although not all critics think the same. Matt Zoller Sietz review was 88. His words were: “For all its miscalculations, this is a personal picture, violent and sweet, clever and goofy. It’s as obsessive and overbearing as Steven Spielberg’s “1941 – and I’ll bet, as likely to be re-evaluated in twenty years from now, and described as “misunderstood”.
