All About Unity: A Tutorial

by Yusuf

Unity is a 3d/2d game making program. It can be used to make other interactive 3d programs too though. Unity can be downloaded here. It is easy to use, yet can make powerful programs. It comes with essential assets and an example project. You can even make animations for characters. However, you may need a modelling program like Autodesk Maya, which unfortunately isn’t free. Maya and Unity are fully compatible with each other. Also, there are 3 programming languages used for Unity. The one I prefer is Javascript. You can learn it here. Some commands can’t be learned there, so you can also use the Unity Wiki. It talks about every command, but it doesn’t have full tutorials, which is why I am making this. If you like this program and would like to know more about Unity, tell me in the comments. If people like this, I will make more tutorials and show how to add basic objects in the next one. As for now, ask questions and download Unity. Write in the comments below what you would like to know about Unity, or for any questions you have.

Rules Of Online Safety

by Bella

download2Hey, I’m here to talk about Online Safety. There are many and I mean MANY Online safety rules for games, chat rooms, and even blogs, but to save your time I’m going to just list three.

FIRST rule of online safety is: never say your real name, but you can say JUST your first name like me on this blog, There are many Bellas in the world. Just to be safe, use a different name, like if I went on a game I would name myself something like ” Minzegul ” or something else that doesn’t show my full name.

NEXT rule of online safety is: DONT tell anybody your address or phone number because if you tell them then don’t be complaining to me when a robber comes in your house and robs you.

LAST rule is if someone is saying really weird things to you or trying to get you to tell them your password, full name, phone number, etc., just either tell your parents or don’t answer them.

How To: Make Pizza

yummy pizza from Chow.com

By Jeanette and Erin

Today we are going to show you how to make a pizza.  We are going to make a regular pie. First, use a flat surface. Then you put flour on the flat surface so the dough doesn’t stick.  Than you knead the dough. When you are done kneading the dough, you put it on a flat tray. Then you put regular tomato sauce on the top. Then you put mozzarella or any cheese you want. We are not doing toppings because it is a regular pie. Then you put it in the oven at 400 degrees until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Finally you slice a piece of pizza for yourself.

How To: Make Origami Yoda

by Timothy

You may have heard of the Origami Yoda series. I’m going to teach you how to make Origami Yoda in 5 basic steps.
Step 1: Take one fourth of a sheet of paper and fold the two sides into the middle.
Step 2: Take the two inward corners and fold them outward.
Step 3: Fold the top of the paper down. If you followed the steps correctly you will see the ears and Yoda’s box head. You’ll also see his cape if you don’t fold the top all the way down.
Step 4: Draw a face on Yoda.
Step 5: Color Yoda in.
Now you have an Origami Yoda.
